Overall project costs inclusive of site acquisition, design development and consultation, construction, vehicle access and utilities reticulation is estimated at $5.5 million. The cost to the Club is estimated at $4 million.
Funding of the new facilities will be achieved on a ‘whole of community’ basis. This reflects Muriwai Beach is a major park destination visited by over 1 million New Zealanders and foreign tourists annually, and the multipurpose nature of the new facilities.
