May 2009 – Auckland Regional Council agrees to make the new site available.
June 2009 – Jasmax invited to prepare designs for consulting with the local community.
October 2009 – Muriwai Lifeguard Service Amenities Trust established and assumes responsibility for the project.
June 2010 – RDC issues the Trust with its resource consent. The ARC confirms $450,000 funding for siteworks and utility reticulation. RDC confirms $150,000 to allow the Trust to commission final architectural and technical consultancy to obtain a building permit.
October 2010- RDC issues the Trust with a building permit.
November 2010 – The Trust secures a head contractor.
